LAN (local area network) servers, peripherals, and monitors are often kept on special racks like the one shown. Since reconfiguring and adding new items is common, using traditional fastening methods can become too time-consuming. The LanGRIP™ fastening line is designed to allow moving and swapping of equipment as easily as plugging an electrical cord into a wall socket. Once the system has been installed, there is no messing with adhesives. A nylon strap (LanGRIP™ Back Strap) is anchored horizontally to the vertical sides of each shelf, keeping the items from moving out through the back of the shelf during an earthquake. Each piece of equipment is secured at its sides with (LanGRIP™ Universal Strap) industrial Velcro® hook and loop. The equipment strap, adjustable in length, is wrapped around the horizontal strap (LanGRIP™ Back Strap) and adjusted with the buckle. A slot at each end of the backstrap keeps each end item from falling off the side of the shelf.
