This system for restraining books and other shelf items uses gravity to keep the restraining bar in place. To remove a book, just pick up the bar and pull the book out. By releasing the bar, it falls back into the secure position. Made of steel rod and aluminum tubing, they come in two adjustable sizes: 25"- 39" and 40"- 55". Installation is simple and does not involve drilling. The aluminum mounting plates are attached with 3M® adhesive tape. A template is included to mark the mounting locations.

Custom Book-KEEPER Bars™ (product # 2843) are available in quantities of 50 and up. The following features are available in the custom bars:

• One-piece bars;
• Choice of finish: Chrome, brass, powder-coat paint (any color);
• Library stack configurations;
• Applications to allow bars to be temporarily held in the up position for stacking;
• Other custom applications.
