Who is Q-Safety?

Q-Safety has been making the office and home safer for over a decade. We were leaders in the field of ergonomic design before it became a popular buzzword in the 80's. We manufactured items such as custom conference tables with elevating monitors, workstations to accommodate wheelchairs, and many other safety applications.

Q-Safety has been involved in making the office a safer place to work since 1984.

The Whittier Narrows Earthquake, in October of 1987, directed our efforts toward manufacturing earthquake safety fastening products. Our first earthquake safety product was a flexible bookcase fastener which was followed by computer brackets using industrial VELCRO® brand hook and loop fasteners. We also developed a variety of nylon tethers and braces to secure computers and other office equipment. Our VersaGRIP™ line was awarded one of the Top Five Hardware Products of 1992 by Micro Times magazine.

Q-Safety has been awarded many exclusive contracts to provide earthquake safety fasteners, including for the City of Los Angeles, the County of Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. We were also awarded a GSA (General Services Administration) contract from the federal government as well as several FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Administration) earthquake mitigation grants for schools, cities, and hospitals.

In addition to government contracts, Q-Safety has been awarded numerous contracts with Fortune 500 companies. Our products are being used throughout the United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Iceland, and New Zealand.

Q-Safety is dedicated to providing earthquake safety fasteners for both industry and home use. We strive to give the best possible service and value.

Q-Safety manufactures its safety fasteners in Glendora, California.

Q-Safety is proud to have been selected by KNBC News in Los Angeles to act as consultant and be featured in their video hosted by Fritz Coleman titled "The KNBC Earthquake Survival Guide". KNBC sold thousands of copies with the proceeds going to the Red Cross and Salvation Army to help with earthquake relief.

Our most popular products are now available in major hardware retail chains as well as most independent hardware stores throughout California and many parts of Oregon and Washington. They are located in the store's earthquake section under the QuakeHold name.

I would like to thank all of our customers for their patronage over the years.

I welcome any comments and suggestions.
